Wargame: European Escalation – Mission 1: Iron Curtian
This opening mission is very simple and will introduce you to three units: The Recon, The Tank and The Supply Truck.
The Recon unit can spot units far ahead of your tank’s vision and will identify units under cover.
The tank is your main damage unit which is heavily armored.
The supply truck will resupply your units with ammunition and fuel.
There is a secondary mission that will reward you one command point for completing it. You have to destroy a secondary base which is loaded full of recon units. It is very easy to kill but you should not risk your Jupiter Supply Truck or your own Recon unit which will not be able to take the hits.
If you lose ANY units at all you will lose 4 command points. Or more appropriately, you will have four less command points.
Command points are used in between missions for gaining new vehicles. New vehicles can also be gained through multiplayer.
To complete “Iron Curtain” simply kill all enemies on the map. They will be split up into clusters and the game will guide you through all of the kills. Use cover with a recon for maximum effect.
When you are given 50 more points to spend on units your best bet is to get more Rank 1 tanks. Your tanks will slowly level up. Since you are dealing with unit transports and recons you will not need anything all that powerful to beat them with.

Even though this is the first mission, it has much better tanks available to unlock. The game allows you to unlock units during missions, so after you complete the first objective for 1 Star, you can immediately unlock the Leopard M1A2 before you spend your 200 requisition points. If you play it a second time (or if you play multiplayer before you play this mission), it allows you to go all the way up to the Leopard M1A4.
The benefit of this is then your better tanks earn the experience. Otherwise you can just unlock the better tanks after the this mission and go straight to mission 2.
Note that the Leopard M1A5 does not become available anywhere in the first chapter (missions 1-5).
